January 13, 2012...
The new year is upon us and it is already half way through January! We want to welcome Danah Ruth Janzen to our team as our new community coordinator. Danah has an enthusiastic spirit and is excited to help out where she can. We appreciate any help here at The Light 98.5 as every position is volunteer and most of us have day jobs on top of keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. We look forward to a great year and want the broadcast to bless and encourage all the listeners. If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to email or phone us. We would love to hear from you! God Bless!

The Light 98.5 Fundraiser Dinner Auction
We had a great turnout at our first annual fundraiser on April 16, 2011. There was just over $5000 raised with 150 to 160 people in attendance. We are so grateful for all the donations financial and in kind that were given towards the evening's events. Your continuing support for The Light 98.5 FM is crucial for keeping us on the air! No one at the Light 98.5 FM or the CIAM network is paid for the hard work and long hours that it takes to produce local programming and other behind the scenes maintenance. There are always hidden costs involved in running a radio station and we make every dollar count towards our goal of providing you with quality programming and music. Thanks again for your prayers and financial support of The Light 98.5 FM.

Studio move completed!
Well we finally did it, the process of relocating the studio from it's original home to our new home above Woody's Bakery was completed without any glitches between 7pm and 9pm Thursday August 5th. The plan was to do a two step move but because the event was going so well we opted to make the move in one step and a gigantic leap of faith. Happy to report that the process was smooth and all services were restored just prior to 9pm. Our next step is to locate phone service at the new location.
Look for upcoming news on a possible open house this fall to introduce the public to our new facilities.....
